ABOUT THIS EVENT

Join Shatterproof, Forsyth County Drug Awareness Council, Forsyth County Community Connection, Full Circle, Realty 4 Rehab, No Longer Bound and The Connection in a “Walk for Recovery”. It will be held at the City Center on April 23rd from 2 pm until 5pm.

The Walk for Recovery will include a walk for awareness and support as well as a Memorial Tea Cup Lighting, Resource Tables, Musical Guests. Panel discussions will be held including Parents, Professionals, Local Students and other members in recovery. Guest speakers will include Mayor Troy Brumbalow and others.

The Forsyth County Drug Awareness Council’s mission is to educate, advocate, and empower the community to prevent substance abuse across the lifespan in Forsyth County, Georgia. Our vision is to have a healthy substance abuse-free Forsyth County. Shatterproof is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to reversing the addiction crisis in the United States.

ABOUT The forsyth county drug awareness council

The council develops programs to provide services to the community for drug prevention. Council activities include advocating for changes in laws, creating school programs for youth and parent support, purchasing space for billboards and distributing posters, facilitating educational seminars and events, participating in programs to get drugs off the streets, and more.
