ABOUT THIS WEBINAR

Second Chance Act grants support correctional facilities and community providers in building strong partnerships and effective transition services for youth. In this webinar, current community-based reentry programs share evidence-based practices, services, and supports they are using to improve reentry outcomes for youth. Peers will learn about the role of the child and family team in developing a comprehensive reentry plan guided by High-Fidelity Wraparound principles. The session will also address intensive case management practices, and strategies to engage youth, family, and community members. Breakout sessions will provide opportunities for questions, answers, and peer networking.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL REENTRY RESOURCE CENTER

The NRRC was established by the Second Chance Act (Public Law 110-199). Signed into law in 2008 and reauthorized in 2018, the Second Chance Act authorizes federal grants to government agencies and nonprofit organizations to provide reentry services—including employment assistance, substance use treatment, housing, family programming, mentoring, victims support, and other services—and to support corrections and supervision practices that aim to reduce recidivism.
