ABOUT THIS SESSION
Join the Justice Reform Partnership (JRP) on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 8:30 am ET for Rooted in Justice, Thriving Together: Justice Day 2025! This event will take place in downtown Atlanta at Central Presbyterian Church and will be live-streamed. To stream the event, join us live on Facebook, YouTube, and below.
Learn from policy experts and perform advocacy related to criminal legal reform at the Georgia State Capitol.
Throughout the day, you will have the chance to connect with like-minded individuals, engage with lawmakers, learn about important criminal legal issues, and discover ways to support people who are incarcerated and impact change.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Breakfast and registration begin at 8:30 am. The program will begin promptly at 9:00 am. Please note that if you plan to speak with legislators at the Capitol, there will be an option for you to select on the registration form. Be sure to bring a photo ID.

- Check-in at registration table, Sign up for Capitol visits and breakout table conversations during lunch
- 9:00 AM – Welcome
- 9:10 AM – Grounding Activity
- 9:20 AM – Panel I -Legislative Panel
- Understanding Pending Legislation & Advocacy Training Advocacy Training: How to Speak at the Ropes 2-minute role play exercise
- 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM – Capitol Visits & Sanctuary Activities
- Attendees visit & speak with legislators at the Capitol Alternate Advocacy Activities & Workshops at the Church
- 11:40 AM – Honorarium
- Special recognition and presentation honoring the Noah Bush Family for their advocacy, resilience, and contributions to advancing safety and well-being for Georgia’s children.
- 12:00 PM – Lunch
- Lunch with optional tabling & breakout table conversations
- 1:00 PM – Panel II – More Than A Number
- More Than A Number: Advocating for Parole Reform Women on the Rise (WOR) will share how to advocate support for: • Reform for Life Sentences and Parole in Georgia • The Parole Process and Reconsideration • Preparing for Reentry and Family Support NewLife-Second Chance Outreach will share resources on how to Advocate for Care & Safety for Loved Ones on the Inside.
- 2:00 AM – Round Robin Discussions
- Attendees will engage in interactive, small-group discussions facilitated by member organizations in rotating stations. Each station will cover a key advocacy topic, allowing attendees to dive deeper into critical issues and exchange ideas in an intimate setting.

The Justice Reform Partnership (JRP) is a collective of organizations and individuals interested in supporting criminal justice reform work in Georgia. We began as a grouping of five organizations working on statewide advocacy during the legislative session.
We now welcome over 90 statewide and local organizations working year-round on critical reform efforts.
