Celebrating a Decade of Impact 750px

The National Incarceration Association (NIA) was founded by Kate Boccia following her family’s direct experience navigating incarceration, addiction, and systemic failure. What began as advocacy for families evolved into a data-driven, community-connected reentry organization built by people closest to the problem—and therefore closest to the solution. Over the past decade, Kate has emerged as a credible national voice translating lived experience into practical, scalable models that improve public safety, stabilize families, and reduce recidivism.

Join Us in Examining Why...

For over a decade, we’ve listened to families, examined the real human impact of the carceral system, and worked toward meaningful reform grounded in lived experience. Every story we hear shapes our work, and every action moves us closer to justice. Change happens when people show up — volunteer and help us build it together.

Our Deepest Thanks

To every funder, volunteer, donor, and partner—thank you. Because you chose to give your time, talent, and resources, second chances are becoming everyday realities and families are finding solid ground again. Your generosity is the bridge that turns opportunity into lasting change. Please take a moment to watch and know how much you’re appreciated—we truly couldn’t do this work without you.
