The National Incarceration Association is proud to invite artists, designers, and creatives to submit original artwork for the 2026 NIA 10-Year Anniversary Artwork Submission Contest. This winning design will be featured on the official NIA Decade Celebration T-Shirt, commemorating ten years of advocacy, awareness, and action.

This contest is an opportunity to visually capture the mission, progress, and future of NIA. We encourage bold, thoughtful, and meaningful designs that reflect the spirit of justice, resilience, and transformation. Whether you’re a professional artist or an emerging creative, we welcome your vision as part of this milestone celebration.

Please upload a clear, high-quality digital image of your artwork submission. All submissions must be digital-only and should be well-lit, in focus, and free of watermarks or obstructions. Please retain your original digital artwork files, as selected submissions may be required to provide high-resolution or editable source files to allow proper adaptation for t-shirt production and other NIA materials.
Submission Rights Agreement
I hereby grant the National Incarceration Association (“NIA”) a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, display, and create derivative works from my submitted design, in whole or in part, in any format or medium, for any purpose determined by NIA, including but not limited to promotional, educational, and commercial uses. I acknowledge and agree that submission of a design does not guarantee selection for the t-shirt contest, and that NIA may use my submission in current or future materials regardless of selection status. I further affirm that I am the original creator of the submitted work and that it does not infringe upon the rights of any third party. If artificial intelligence tools were used in the creation of your submission, you acknowledge that such use is at your own risk. The National Incarceration Association bears no responsibility for issues related to plagiarism, copyright infringement, or originality arising from AI-assisted or AI-generated artwork. Any legal claims, disputes, or liabilities resulting from the use of AI tools or alleged infringement shall be the sole responsibility of the original submitter. By submitting, you affirm that you hold the necessary rights to the work and that it does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.

Furthermore, the use of illegally acquired, unlicensed, or improperly sourced digital assets—including but not limited to images, fonts, textures, software, or design elements—is strictly prohibited. Any legal claims, disputes, damages, or liabilities arising from the unauthorized use of such assets shall be the sole responsibility of the original submitter and will not be assumed by the National Incarceration Association. By submitting, you affirm that all components of your artwork were lawfully obtained and properly licensed for use.
